My purpose as a writer, is to tell stories of what it was like in 60s and 70s. My father who just passed away was the driving force of my motivation. Like a burning fire that tormented my soul for years, I had no choice but to connect to my past at different time periods so that I could live again. I remember being with Troop 91 at Big Ben National park and knowing that it was me when I almost drowned crossing the river. As I attempted to swim in the fast moving current for the third time, only to fail and realize that I was about to drown when out of no where, the one arm scout master grab me by my shirt  and saved me from certain death. That was me, I can feel it and I thank God that I can write this story to escape the pain of my past.
